Redesigning Revenue Agencies in Federal India

A research study on the issue of reconstituting and reforming the organizational structure, bureaucratic processes and institutional design of executive revenue agencies in India was published by IIM, Bangalore in late 2011 as Occasional Paper 13. Unfortunately, the final publication could not take place due to some issue of IIMB and the idea of publishing policy relevant research papers was itself shelved subsequently by Centre for Public Policy, IIMB (though perhaps it is being revived again).
The study was based on my research work carried out during the second year of MPA-ID program at Harvard University. A downloadable pdf copy of the research paper is available below.
